K3675 – Business Development Associate – UK, Southampton (Hybrid) – Asset Finance

£32,000 - £38,000 basic, excellent bonus and benefits
Location: UK, Southampton (Hybrid), with 2 days per week in the office

New Leaf Search is partnering with an established UK Asset Finance organisation in its search for a Business Development Associate

Working alongside the external sales team, you will help attract, negotiate and convert customer proposals into new business while developing and managing allocated introducers, prospects and customers

The role provides broad exposure to the Asset Finance sales process across hard assets including Construction, Transport and Machine Tools, combining relationship management, proposal support and sales administration

Key Accountabilities

• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing introducers including brokers, accountants, vendors, client referrals and other lenders
• Support the external sales team in developing the performance of allocated introducer accounts
• Proactively attract, negotiate and convert customer proposals into new business
• Complete risk templates for sanction of facilities
• Chase outstanding enquiries and transaction documentation
• Maintain accurate CRM information and support effective pipeline management
• Develop knowledge of Asset Finance products, competitors, introducers, risks and market sectors
• Establish effective contact strategies and maintain strong customer communication
• Support the wider Internal Sales team and contribute to overall sales performance
• Deliver consistently high standards of accuracy and service

Person Specification

• Understanding of Asset Finance products
• Experience within Financial Services or an Internal Sales environment
• Good communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good teamworking and interpersonal skills
• Basic credit analysis capability would be advantageous
• Basic numerical and financial analysis skills would be advantageous
• Basic business analytical skills would be advantageous

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services, particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing. Relevant IN-COUNTRY experience is required; applications without it will not be considered
